Connecting, Educating and Empowering Through Story

The Patchwork Project (TPP) is a global initiative designed to raise awareness, create fund-raising opportunities, and build a dynamic community committed to HIV/AIDS education and prevention. The project harnesses the power of immersive stories created by participants, which are made available to a global audience through Web sites, cell phones, blogs and other media. The project is composed of an ever growing group of events, topic-specific projects, and initiatives that use stories as "stitches" to connect and build the larger Patchwork community.  To date, these stitches include:

~ The 3D AIDS Quilt: A 3D version of the physical quilt that allows participants to create 3D rooms/diorama to commemorate those lost to or living with HIV

~ The Jokaydia 3D AIDS Quilt: A kids' version of the original 3D Quilt designed to educate about HIV/AIDS and create a network of peer mentors

~ Virtual Runs for FUNds: Races run in virtual space to raise money for worthy, HIV-related causes such as support for children orphaned by AIDS in Africa

~ Operation Resolve - Immersive, interactive training workshops designed to engage and entertain while sparking discussion, teaching group interaction skills, and educating about a variety of HIV/AIDS topics.
